Bob and Lynn,
1st boat with Concorde AGMs - no issues but sold the boat 2 years after the
installation
2nd boat - Concorde AGMs just past 5 years now with no issues.
You do need a good quality 3 stage adjustable charger with these batteries
to get the most life from them. You have to be able to adjust the charging
voltage to match the specs from the manufacturer.
These AGMs are shippable via USP - Don't have to go motor freight.
1st set bought from http://www.windsun.com/Batteries/AgmTech.htm
Good deal and service.
2nd set from http://lifelinebatteries.com/distributorpage.php?id=251
Again, great service and outstanding price!
Here is a list by state by Concorde - seems like you could spend some time
on the phone to do some war dialing to get the best price.

Another page on specs of these batteries

I use the group31T which deliver 105amps each and only weight 69lbs each.

Subject: T&T: Where to buy new batteries?
Hello All,
Well I need to replace my 4 house batteries - 4D size. I am looking at
Lifeline AGM batteries - they need to be either AGM or GEL because their
location does not allow easy servicing.
So the questions are:
1. Any opinions about Lifeline AGM? Good or Bad?
2. Good places to order from?
So far my Internet searching has come up with Marine Warehouse
(http://www.marinewarehouse.net/specials.html) and Battery Web.com
(http://www.batteryweb.com/lifeline.cfm) as having good prices. Any other
places I should get quotes from?
I still am not sure if I want to tackle the job of wrestling the 130lb
batteries in & out myself - I will definitely need help. So the alternate
question is:
3. Any yards on the northern Chesapeake that I should consider for the job?
