T&T: Porta-bote

I have a rib for my main dinghy and it has worked wonderfully well.   
It's one disadvantage is that it weighs almost 700 lbs with the motor  
and fuel.   The weight makes it impossible to beach it and then pull  
it up out of the surf.  I am considering Porta-bote as a beach boat  
that I can store easily and drag up onto a beach.    I am soliciting  
comments, both positive and negative, about Porta-bote and how well  
it might serve as a "beach" boat.
