I can vouch for the copper in the strainers. I cut strips from the same
stuff I used for the ground strap for the SSB, and have a strip in each
strainer basket. I also break up a Clorox toilet tank tablet, and put about
half of one in the AC and refrigeration strainers each time I clean them.
These dissolve more slowly than the pool chlorine tablets.
