Subject: T&T: A/C Maintenance

Happy Labor Day to all,
As the water continues to get warmer here I notice marine growth
increasing. Of particular concern is my a/c system. I have a stainless
strainer basket on my raw water intake that needs frequent cleaning. It has
been explained to me it is a form of white coral and it certainly looks like
it. very tiny little white worms that are hard as a rock. While I can see
and clean this, what can I do for the innards of the system ....ie rest of
piping and exchanger? Some have said a muratic acid bath, others have said a
hottub bromine tablet left in basket....

What say the list for both cleaning and maintenance?
