'Lo All,

Just a thought about carrying liability-only insurance: Be sure it
will cover recovery of your vessel should it sink and any costs/fines
for fuel and oil recovery should the tanks leak.

I could avoid a marina if it required liability insurance or loose
the boat as an "investment", but could probably not absorb the cost
of recovering the boat. It would, of course, happen in the most
desolate, environmentally sensitive area possible), especially if the
CG also levied fines for the fuel and oil leakage/cleanup - I would
want insurance that specifically covered that.

YMMV.

Take care and be safe.
