I have just received the latest issue of Practical Sailor and they
have an up-date on their testing
of 52 antifoulants. In the ablative / copolymer department the "Best
Choice" goes to Pettit Hydrocoat
Recommends going to the following: Flexdel Aguaguard, Interlux Micron
66, Pettit West Marine CPP
and Sea Hawk Monterey.
In the hard paint department the "Best Choice" goes to Interlux
Fiberglass Bottomkote Aqua.
Recommends going to the following: Interlux Epoxycop, Interlux
Fiberglass Bottomkote, Interlux VC Offshore,
Pettit Vivid.
Tests were run on boats in Florida and Long Island Sound.
The overall favourite that scored excellent for both locations was
Interlux Fiberglass Bottomkote Aqua.
Hope this helps.
