T&T: Teak deck cleaning

This weekend I plan to "swab the deck" for the first time since we bought our
boat in the summer.  I know to use a white Scotch Brite pad with TSP, Joy, and
warm water and to lightly scrub in a circular, figure 8 or any way but with
the grain and rinse with fresh water followed by clean sea water.  Am I
correct so far?  My big question is--has anyone come upon the white pad on a
long handle because I've not found one.  Is this an on my hands and knees job
with a good pair of knee pads?
