Dave,
I would be one p*ssed off Jose over this one. My thoughts tend to gyrate to
suing the distributor in small claims court - good for $5K in most courts.
Do you have written documentation on the original warranty, notes about the
factory sending you to the distributor - it's only been a little of two
years.
Well worth your time in my eyes.

Southern Nights.
I recommend that you do not use these batteries. I installed a bank of 6
batteries when we com
I originally purchased the batteries from a local distributor based on a
recommendation from the customer service people at the Northstar factory.
When I called Northstar last month to ask why the bank failed they wouldn't
talk to me and told me I had to call some guy named Harris at Engines1. I
called him and he initially said he would help, but never called back. When
I pressed him he said that I had purchased them from an unauthorized dealer
so no warranty (the dealer the factory recommended). The dealer I
purchased the batteries from also called the factory and was told no
warranty. The worst part is that now I've built a complex set of battery
boxes and some big /expensive busses to support this non-standard battery
size and I'll need to rip it all out to support a standard 4D or 8D battery.
