T&T: Washer/dryer replacement part II

Well, after pretty exhaustive research (thanks to all who responded to my 
first e-mail) I've narrowed my search down to about three units. Since I 
only have 66" of vertical space in the Krogen 42, none of the newer 
over/under models will fit, as they are all over 70". The stackable units 
are all front loaders, so I wouldn't be able to open the door on the bottom 
unit because the ladder is right there. That pretty much leaves me with a 
choice of combo units. I don't want unvented, so that leaves out most of 
them, including LG, Asko, Haier, and Ariston.

The final three vented combo units are:

Splendide
Majestic
Edgestar

They are all similar in size and price. I've never heard of Edgestar, and 
Majestic doesn't publish their drum size, although I would imagine it's in 
the range of 1.5-1.7 cubic feet. Any advice on which one to choose / avoid?

I'll be publishing all the detail on my research later, once I make a 
choice, with web sites. Lots of stuff out there, I'm just trying to figure 
out which one to order right now.
