T&T: Autopilots on Auto..Auto..Auto..Wood Freeman

The GB Alaskan I just purchased comes with a Wood Freeman auto pilot.
Any comments on this unit? Huge motor, big chain, tethered remote
control, real cool looking.

I've got one of those old Wagners as well. The boat came with a remote
control for it; cable is maybe 40' long. Don't know if you can still get
one, but it might be worth looking for if you want to control from the
upper station. This is the only place I know of that has replacement
parts, etc.
