We use the Replay Radio/Replay AV product from this company to capture
streaming audio from some of the NPR story programs. It puts it directly
into iTunes for use on the IPOD. Don't know about MAC compatibility. They
also have other conversion programs that might do what you want to do.

Thanks for the lists feedback on this. Someone - and I forget who, sent me a
very interesting site with an M2Convert program for iPods. Apparently this
seems to convert almost all popular video and audio files for iPod use which
is an excellent idea.
My issue being that libraries use Windows Media Player, which doesn't work
with an iPod. If someone more knowledgeable than I could check

for this converter to see if I have missed something I'd appreciate it.
Judging by the response I had there are several people on this List who use
audiobooks afloat so the info should be useful to others.
