I have used a purchasing broker on most of my boats. I get better info
broker to broker than I do dealing directly with the selling broker, kinda
seems to cut through th B.S. The broker will many times save you a trip to
look at a boat you will not be buying. You need of course to have a
relationship with one thats both good and honest and yes there are a few out
there. When I bought my hatt he saved me around 10k, sifted through quite a
few lemons by talking to the brokers directly and wound up with a very
satisfied customer. The broker we got the boat from was rather slippery and
boy was I glad I didn't need to deal with him. Cost me nothing.
