Are all parameters set properly on the inverter charger? Is the battery
type (gel)--not AGM?--set properly? Is the battery size set properly?
Battery temp and is there a temp sensor--where is the temp sensor attatched?
(both menu and dip switch settings?) The dip switch setting is different for
2000 ah vs 300 ah battery bank, even though the charger will put out 100 amps
with both sizes of battery banks. (The improper setting of dip switches is a
common cause of battery damage--and this may be manafest by the increased
temp.

Even though one would think that connecting all of the batteries in parallel
would make them equal--but I have seen a number of cases where the battery
nearer the positative lead from the charger gets a greater chage.

So look at the charger--I doubt if you have 4 "bad" batteries--I suspect the
settings.
