I had a horrible case of economic whiplash when I read the list price for a
Xintex S-2A control/monitor and a MS-2 sensor for the bilge: $463.52 vs. $150
for the RV unit from PPL. Then I started price shopping and found the same
combo here:
http://www.scubasteve.biz/store/manufacturers/xintex-fireboy/xintexfireboy.htm
for $247.90. Avast improvement.

I have used the Xintex set up:

ABYC standards are at:

The marine unit allows several sniffers--one in the bilge and one under the
stove. The RV unit appears to have the sniffer and power etc all in one unit,
which one would install at counter height. This would not seem to be the
ideal solution to LP gas in a boat, since it is heavier than air.
