My thanks to all who emailed me their thoughts on this matter. It's
gratifying and encouraging to see your comments run 6-to-1 in favor
of maintaining a clean, orderly List, free of non-boating items.
That kind of response has been fairly consistent over the years. The
vast majority of subscribers want to see nothing but information on
cruising and living aboard under power on T&T. They don't want the
clutter of a chat room, and, yes, they don't want unnecessary quoting.
It's also gratifying to see a steady growth in subscriber numbers,
1,804 this morning. The kind of flap we sometimes see, when a single
subscriber leaves with a lot of noise, that is truly just a blip in
the larger scheme of things.
Like so many of you, I'm addicted to the List and can't start my day
without pouring over the digest.
