My Navico AP quit last year on our way into the Keys after MANY years of fine
service. I installed a spare pump that I bought years earlier, and took the
old one to a small motor repair shop. They dressed the armature, installed new
brushes and seals and the old pump is ready to go as a spare for the new owner
of the old Chateau de Mer.  Cost was a small fraction of a new AP system.
