T&T: Any experiences good or bad with Navtex and Weather fax

Unless you have money to burn, I would not spend it on a dedicated, one 
use navtex or weatherfax machine.

I would add this. If you haven't had either and know that this is what 
you want, then I would not spend the money on them.

For the limited amount of use that either is really needed, I would go 
with a temporary lash up that will allow wx fax on a PC. Navtex can be 
setup similarly.

Then, if you decide after you have some experience with them and want a 
dedicated machine; fine go ahead spend the money. In which case you will 
have a backup system.

The only dedicated weather fax worth any money is the Furuno unit.
I have no recommendations about Navtex.
