T&T: Annapolis Sailboats

Annapolis Harbor is always replete with sailboat races, everything from prams
to international regattas. There are large, muti class races every Wed and Fri
night during the season, and frostbite races year round. In regard to the
mooring field, the Wednesday night races end at the bridge just beyond the
field, so dozens of boats converge on the field. It is a glorious sight when
the winds are from the north and they finish with spinnakers flying. In regard
to safety, a few years ago a 40+ footer became entangled with a moored boat
and cut the mooring line so he could finish the race!! Overall, expect no
quarter and no charity, especially from J-boats, all of which seem to be
sailed by people (men or women) trying to prove that their hormones work.
