T&T: Icemaker recommendation

We have been using the Magic Chef portable that makes 30 or so lbs per day 
with good results. It is probably pulling around 50 amps (dc) while the 
compressor runs, which is higher than the frig and freezer combined (13 amps 
dc and 10 amps dc respectively), so the amps can sneak up on you. It is a 
softer ice, but we empty the tray and put the ice in gallon zip locks and 
store it in the freezer. Ours is the plastic housing and we bought it from 
Home Depot for around $199.
