Has anyone had experience using this device at higher speeds or any other
rig that could pull a dinghy while on a plane?

In Juneau (Auke Bay) last summer I saw a large Ocean Alexander that was
rigged with a 5th wheel type trailer hitch on its swim step. Its dinghy was
obviously custom built to fit as it had a bow that overhung the swim step
and latched on. The dinghy was not a production model (or customized
version of one) that I recognized but it was in the 16 to 19 foot range and
had twin hulls like a Livingston. It was well powered with large twin
outboards. I remember thinking that the outboards could probably be dropped
down and used to push the whole rig if needed. When it left the marina it
looked very fit and secure. I obviously did not see it in heavy weather and
I wonder how it would work under those conditions.

I believe that it is a Washington boat. Does anyone else know anything
about it?
