Yesterday I wrote to Aquasana to point out the "coincidences" between their
company and the owner of the waterfiltercomparisons.com site.  Today I
received a response from a VP.  I'm copying the entire response below.

Charles Strand and his daughter Mindy own and run DOSS Holdings, an 
investment company that owns www.WaterFilterComparisons.com among other
investments (like www.bottledwaterblues.com and www.waterwarning.com). This
site links to all 10 companies compared and shows a completely unbiased
comparison based on each manufacturer's certified performance data sheet.

Charles Strand is the former President of Sun Water Systems, Inc., the owner
of www.Aquasana.com, he is also a minority shareholder of Sun Water. His
involvement in the 2 companies is completely ethical and appropriate, he is
one of the leading experts on water with 17 patents for water treatment
products and is author of the book "All About Water". 

We feel the factual comparison of leading brands is a service to the public,

not a disservice, regardless of benefits to any of the ten brands compared. 
Consumers Digest agreed that Aquasana is a "Best Buy" 3 years running, 2003,
2004, 2005. 

Unfortunately, there are many water filter companies selling products with 
exaggerated claims on the internet, we are not one of them. We do try to
give 
consumers the information helpful in choosing the right filter system, again

all certified performance data supplied by each manufacturer.
