T&T: AGM Batteries

Stick with the Trojans...How many years can U expect out of batteries, even
with 3 step chargers & 3 step regulators.. Do not mix battery types,, If your
starting batteries are lead/acid, do not mix with AGM's. yes adding water is a
pain, BUT U have the BEST method of knowing the battery condition, by using a
hydrometer. With AGM & Gels, all U can use is a chart after perfect charging,
to know what state of charge these batteries are in. the best combination, if
U are using a 3 step charger is high CCA, sealed lead acid for engine &
generator start & the GC2's for the house system.
