Brian and many others: Good point. So how do we know the micron level of CAV
secondary filters on a Lehman 135SP? I have seen a lot of inference that it
might be 2 micron but how do we know that? If it is not 2 micron then the
engine does not require 2 micron anywhere?

I think I posted this years ago when this type of subject came up. I
questioned the micron rating of the CAV filters that most of us use and Wix
says their filter is 10 micron (part # 33166) and Lucas/Delphi claims theirs
(part # 7111-296) is 5-7 micron. Wix techs dispute Lucas... Probably Racor
would have their own spin on the subject..

3) If CAV secondaries are 10 micron then I have to suspect that the good
people arguing in favor of 2 micron primaries must wear belts and
suspenders-perhaps two of each?
