Hi Wayne & Lynn

Lynn & I have been "stuck" at lock #3 above Waterford since Tuesday. We have
been posting updates on the Great Loop list for the past week. Jim & Rita
Ague on "Derreen" from the list are with us along with several other who are
stuck further up the Canal. Dennis Bruckel is at Mechanicsville just north
of here on the Hudson/Champlain Canal.

Take a look at the Great Loop list archives for the past week. Dennis just
posted a good summary of the conditions around here. And yes, docks have
been swept away on the Hudson, 35 boats are "stuck" at various points on the
Erie - these are boats that the Canal authorities are looking after, there
are probably more at several private marinas. And finally, Lock #10 is a
serious mess. A number of locks on the Mohawk section were flooded but it
sounds like Lock #10 has sustained the most serious damage.

Again, take a look at what has been posted on the Great Loop list during the
past week.

>We know there are people on this list who must have information about the
flooding along the Mohawk. >We have pictures in our possession of lock 9 or

There seems to be some question when and if some of the locks will open
again >this summer due to the extensive damage.
>
>We are hearing unconfirmed reports of docks being swept away with boats
attached.>

>We are hearing bad things but nothing we can confirm as truth.

>We do know there is at least one boat and likely several stuck between
locks. We do not know of >their condition or circumstance. Any confirmed
information, not speculation or second hand stories >would be welcomed.
