Recently purchased a GB-49 that currently resides in the York River,
lower Chesapeake. Planning on cruising it up to the north shore of Long
Island in April.
Have a copy of the Chartkits region 3 and 4, and will also be using a
Garmin 3010 electronic..(.to add to the paper/electronic chart thread)

Plotting the course now and am interested to hear opinions of navigating
via the Jersey Intracoastal, or stay out in the ocean. The draft is 4.5
feet.
Don't have any issues with time, my concern is draft and navigational
aids at the beginning of April.
