T&T: 12vdc Refrigerator

I purchased a Tundra T80 for my previous trawler and was very happy with it.
My present trawler came with a less than 2 year old Tundra T80 that when I
assumed ownership would not cool well.  The manufacturer replaced it for me
with a brand new unit that worked well for about 9 months.
It too now is not coolling well and appears to have a tiny leak that has
caused loss of refrigerant charge.  Once again they have provided me with a
new unit at no charge. I do have to switch out the old unit and install the
new unit myself.
The manufacturer has been very repsonsive to the issues, but I wonder if I
have just a bad luck streak or if there is a Quality Control problem.
