I just received the email below from Y-Tronic.. Looks like the Class
B transmitters are beginning to come, well at least in Europe. I
thought it was interesting a few things they mention in the email.

1) They Pre-Program the transmitters with your information.

2) They point to procedure issues between the FCC and the USCG as to
why it's not here in the US yet.

3) But they still say they would be happy to ship them anywhere in
the world. I guess we could install them in the US, and maybe
exposing ourselves to some fine. Does anyone know??

Dear Customers,

over the last weeks you have made an inquiry with Y-tronic regarding
the availability of AIS Class B Transponders. I am happy to be able
to report you that Y-tronic finally has the AIS CTRX Class B
Transponder from Trueheading in stock for 929,- Euros. The unit has
BSH approval and carries a CE mark.In Europe some communication
agencies require a notification about the sale of the unit. If this
is the case in your country, please contact us prior to your order
and we will contact the manufacturer to find out the status in your
country.

FCC approval is not yet complete due to uncertainties of the correct
procedure between the FCC and the USCG.

However, we are happy to ship them to any harbour (or of course your
home) in the world. Orders can be placed through our website. Please
also send us an email indicating the following ships details, as they
are pre-programmed by us:

- MMSI

- Ships Name

- Call Sign

- Lenght and Breadth of your vessel

- Position of the GPS antenna of the AIS from the starboard bow and
the starboard side

- Type of vessel

We are looking forward to hear from you, and if you have any
questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Best regards
