I recall being told that Lehman Brothers closed their doors sometime  
in the later 1980s.  But I could be mis-remembering that.  However I  
have a good friend here in the marine diesel industry and I'll try to  
remember to ask him for a brief Lehman "history" as he was very  
familiar with the company when it was in business.
