Since my Marine AC unit went TU on our last trip, I have decided to put in a
standard Window shaker, and mount it in the bow , in the center of the
anchor rode compartment. Note the anchor lines are behind a wall on either side to
this compartment and totally isolated from this area.
My thoughts are I will have to use a forced air fan to ventilate the heat
from the compartment, and just let the water from the unit go into the bilge. I
think I will require a pretty high volume fan to pull this hot air out and
existing unused 4 inch round Ha user pipe that is already thru the bow deck.
I thing I can do the whole job for about $200 or less for materials.
Any comments, thoughts, or advise on this would project be appreciated,
before I start "tearing' into the job.
and for anyone interested, we have finalized our last trip on our web page,
