T&T: For all you cold people

Found this while surfing on the internet. Make a bed warmer using rice:

doesn't seem to last as long as a Yutampo though.

I might get a metal one for myself and see how much better it is, especially
with the idea of boiling the water inside it each night instead of having to
empty and replace the boiling water inside.

I also have a small bleach bottle and I'm thinking of filling it half full of
water to see if I can boil the water by zapping the bottle in my microwave
oven without melting the bottle. Haha... maybe I should try just the plastic
bottle first.

I think these would be very nice for pets on a cold night in the dog house. A
Yutampo placed under a blanket would be nice for them to snuggle up against.

Another energy saving tip: quickie type frozen dinners wrapped in aluminum
foil placed in the valley of your diesel engine (main or generator will
suffice) (also works with car engines when you are on a long trip) will cook
your dinner for you by the time you get wherever you are going. You can also
do this with a chicken... (don't use a live one)...

Used to take a small chicken and put a hot rock from a morning campfire inside
it... wrapped in aluminum foil and a towel around that. Placed in my knapsack
it will be cooked by the time you get to your destination either for lunch or
for dinner.

You can also wash your underwear or socks by putting it into a wide mouthed
jar or bottle with some water and detergent, strapping it to your legs just
above the ankle and the action while you are hiking will simulate a washing
machine. Good exercise too.

I'm on a roll. Stay warm.

Bob
