If I understood Kens comment about a resistance in the ground, it would likely
not affect batteries one at a time on a rotating basis. Also, if the
resistance were  between batteries and ground, the charger would UNDERCHARGE
the batteries if the charger negative were connected to ground..but it isn't,
the plus from the charger goes to pos and the neg to the neg batt
terminals...a resistance between neg term and ground would not be sensed by
the charger....but would weaken battery output....
or maybe I've had too much wine!!
