T&T: Exhaust

I'm not actually building a boat, but that probably would have been easier
and cheaper. It has been dismantled to the point that re-engineering major
systems is just a matter of building them in, like the exhaust system. Right
now the boat has 4-53 detroits. They are very low hour rebuilds and run like
tops, no smoke ever, except a little white if they are started when they're
very cold. If I do decide to pull them out I won't be going back with
electronic engines, of any kind. I've always liked Detroits so it wouldn't
take much to convince me to keep them. However, they are going to be taken
out when I get to the engine area reconstruction anyway and every boat
mechanic I've known has said if they pull a Detroit diesel engine out they
hate to put it back in. I have a perfectly good pair of Cummins 6B's, non
turbo, 120 hp, that would fit right in. Decisions, decisions.
