Years ago we used the Norpro generators at that time they were powered by
Isuzu engines with a Newage electrical end and they gave good service. We got
away from them about 7 years ago we started using units put together by
Southeastern Power Products They are near Ft Lauderdale. The reason we switched was
first price the Norpro went up a bit at that time and second Southeastern is
using the Kubota engine. In my opinion although the Isuzu and Yanmar are good the
Kubota is the toughest one of them all. They are also so popular in
agricultural equipment that parts are readily available and in expensive.

If your interested Southeastern is probably on the web they also advertise in
boats and harbors ask for Ralph Carter if you can't find them contac me
Monday off line I have the # at my office

The engines and electrical ends on either the Norpro or Southeastern units
are basically the same as the more popular and higher priced units. The
difference is in the bells and whistles and also in the marine conversion parts heat
exchanger, raw water pump, and exhaust elbow. The only unit I have seen that is
substantially better in those areas are the Northern Lights but you really
pay for that and I guess it's a personal choice weather or not it's worth it.
(it wouldn't be to me).
