One of my favorite spots, and a little off the beaten path, is Snake Cay,
the old loading dock area for a timber operation many years ago. Anchor to
the south of the old quay, and dinghy/snorkel up the small creek. Lots of
fish and rays live in the deep hole there, and it leads to a large flats
area which is fun exploring by dinghy at high tide or on foot/swimming at
low tide. It's mentioned in the Abacos guide book previously recommended to
you. A bit spooky, but fun.
