I'm going with dry exhaust on my Krogen trawler, mostly because I have 
developed a serious dislike for rubber impellers

Sounds like your building a boat great choice Krogens are exactly the kind of 
boat that fit with dry exhaust.Since you will be using an electronic emission 
compliant engine. I bet you won't have a bit of trouble with soot after it's 
broken in.
