T&T: Exhaust

I'm going with dry exhaust on my Krogen trawler, mostly because I have
developed a serious dislike for rubber impellers. I may decide later that I
dislike diesel soot even more. I plan to use hospital grade stainless
silencers and heavy wall stainless pipe, all well insulated. It won't be
cheaper or easier to install than a new wet exhaust but I hope it will be
more reliable, along with the keel coolers. I've always thought that sea
water sitting in the muffler or hose, evaporating steadily, into an engine,
could not be good for it. Dry exhausts will eliminate that. BTW, I picked up
and ran with the Pesky Leak thread, and got reprimanded, most graciously I
might add. Our administrators are not hardasses, but they do have a job to,
and they do it well.
