T&T: Bayonet lamp sockets?

I'm having a tough time locating replacement bayonet lamp sockets for my 
dome overhead lights. These are circa 1986. The sockets on my fixtures 
attach by way of a little screw that goes into the base of the socket. The 
new replacement ones at West, etc. don't have a screw hole, so I can't 
figure out a good way to attach them, and I can't just let them hang in 
there. I've used up all my spares, so am faced with buying completely new 
fixtures if I can't find these sockets. Any ideas?
