T&T: Yachtworld / E-bay listing

I subscribe to another email list for owners/enthusiasts of the old Type 356
Porsches, made between 1948 and 1965.  These cars show up fairly often on
E-Bay, usually with pretty substantial price tags, and when they do, someone
on that list will alert the other subscribers to their availability.
Infrequently, but more often than one might think, another on the list will
determine that the E-Bay listing is a scam, especially if the asking price is
below market for that particular model, year, and condition of car and alert
the list members to that fact.  In fairness, E-Bay does what it can to prevent
such shenanigans, but it happens nonetheless.  I know that boats aren't cars,
but if enough money is involved, someone will try to figure out a way to
relieve you of some of it, and E-Bay has been known to be a vehicle (pardon
the pun) for these kinds of transgressions.

Be careful out there.  As they say, if it seems too good to be true, it
probably is.
