With all this discussion on the price of ownership of these fabulous
vessels, I think I would like to try my hand at bare boat chartering.
Preferably some where tropical this winter season. With the last 12 months
and all the "Katrina" memories still very fresh in our minds the wife and I
would love to get away to some where out of range of my constantly ringing
cell phone and recharge our batteries. Can any of you folks recommend a
company or service that we could contact? At 46 I still have one child left
at home and to put thru school before we make the big (trawler) purchase and
I would like to be extremely knowledgeable of what to look for and what to
avoid at that time. In another life time I operated tug boats (for 15
years). I am now a generator dealer on the Gulf Coast of MS.
