T&T: AC Split System replacement Compressor

A neighbor had one of his 27 year old Cruisair 16000 btu AC compressor quit 
this weekend. Both of my Marine Air units are 27 years old and I have been 
considering replacing them before the inevitable happens. These are split 
units with separate air handlers through out the boat. Mermaid does not 
make a replacement (all theirs are self contained). Has anyone found an 
acceptable replacement or a source for discounted Marine Air or Cruisair units?

I recently purchased a pump relay from Flagship but the quality was so poor 
I returned it before installing it. All the 110 volt connections were 
exposed on terminal blocks on both the top and bottom of the outside of the 
relay box.
