T&T: 120v compact refer/freezer

Our old Norcold is rusting out and I'm considering replacing it with a 120v
compact Kenmore or Haier or similar unit, around 4.2 cu ft. I've seen mixed
opinions on modified sine vs pure sine wave invertors. I would size the
invertor adequately and dedicate it to the refer. What does a unit this size
typically draw in amps at 12vdc? Is multiplying AC amps by 10 a reasonable
approximation, or do I have the formula wrong? I've searched out previous T&T
threads and wonder of there are current opinions out there.
