T&T: Garmin Web Updater

I went through the same permutation. My version of code on the 2010c did
not have the selection for updating. Just download the newest version,
install it on the flash card, put it in the slot and boot the unit, it
will update automatically.

I bought a Garmin Data Card reader and blank card, and want to use
Garmin's web update to update the software version on my Garmin 2010C's.
The instructions are to insert the card in Slot 1 of the Chartplotter,
turn the chartplotter on, and activate the "Prepare for Software Update"
menu or button. However, no such menu or button shows, nor does the
manual provide any indication of how to do this. (The 2010C is on the
list of devices that can be updated in this manner.)

Can anyone offer advice? (I have e-mailed Garmin support.)
