The latest version of the Nav RUles book from Paradise contains an error.

The book says that channel 13 only has to be listened to by over 20 
meter vessels, and some other vessels, if within 3 miles of the coast.

This is IN ERROR. The rule(CFR 47, part 7) was changed over a year ago 
and now reads 12 miles.

I don't have time to notify Paradise, as I am going back to sea shortly. 
The version of the book I had on this last trip was dated 2006 and it 
was in error. This error was not caught by them or the USCG which 
authenticates the printing. This is not good as it has been repeated in 
thousands of copies. It identifies a flaw in their quality control system.
