T&T: Sealing Shorepower Receptacle on Boat-Threading it Down

I replaced both ends of my 50 foot "anaconda" last year with new Marinco
fittings. The shore power side does have a twist lock, but the boat end
is a female threaded collar that slips over the male end on the boat
mounted fitting. I've never had a problem with the threaded end. Just
be careful when you try to engage the threads to make sure you are lined
up properly. Backing it until you feel it "click" could be the best way
to insure you're not cross threaded. Once you get it on, just never
take it off. We always disconnect from the shore side and coil the
"anaconda" on the fore deck..
