I believe the newer Marinco cords and receptacles use a half twist lock.
Much easier to connect.  You might find an inlet on Ebay and replace the
ring on the cordset.

The cover for the shorepower attachment onboard screws down .  It has a fine
thread and is a pain to reseal in the morning when disconnecting from
shorepower.  There is a strong tendency for some crew persons to cross the
threads, making future sealing more difficult.    Anyone come up with a
simple
approach to screwing down this cover easily?  Present system is to thread it
backwards until I think the threads are properly engaged and try it
clockwise.

It's a small matter but if there is a simple fix I would like to hear it.
