TWL: Danforth/White Express compass oil ?

My original 60's Danforth/White compass appears to be half full....or half
empty of oil.  :>)
Does anyone know for sure what type of oil to use in this compass...or where
to find out?  I am going to attempt to adjust it using the Power Squadron
booklet next boat visit.  You never know when everything electric/electronic
might go kaput and I need to know which way I am going.
