There's a wonderful variety of trawlers on display at the seventh annual
West Marine Trawler Fest in Puget Sound this Wednesday through Saturday.
The showcase dock at the Port of Poulsbo Guest Marina in downtown Poulsbo
will feature all leading makes of trawler yachts.

The queen of the fleet will no doubt be Gaarden Party, a 75-foot beauty
said to have the most gorgeous interior of any vessel launched by Northern
Marine.

Two 62-footers will serve as well-endowed princesses, giving you the
opportunity to compare the classic Nordhavn 62 from Pacific Asian
Enterprises and the just-launched Ocean Haven 62 in steel and aluminum from
Alberni Yacht Corporation.

Another passagemaker in the 60-plus class will be a previously owned
68-foot Willard LRC Motoryacht shown by Westport Yacht Sales.

At the other end of the spectrum, there will be Boojum, a 25-foot custom
passagemaker designed by Michael Kasten for Charles and TC Vollum.

WHERE TO GO, HOW TO SIGN UP

Trawler Fest opens at 12 noon Wednesday. Show boats are open Wednesday
afternoon and all day Thursday, Friday and Saturday until 6 p.m.

Although advance registration has closed for Poulsbo 2002, on-site
registration is possible for seminars, and meals, subject to availability.

If you wish only to see the in-water and shoreside show, a Trawler Fest Day
pass is available for, in effect, $5. The day pass sells for $15 per person
but it comes with a $10 West Marine discount coupon. The day pass includes
a souvenir canvas tote bag, welcome kit, and admission to the in-water
show, shoreside expo, demonstrations, and Trawler Crawl.
