BST: GPS/Chartplotter recommendation needed

Just bought a new/used boat and need to install a GPS/Chartplotter.  I
intend to use the boat for the inland rivers and the Gulf of Mexico
inter-coastal but want flexibility.  And, yes, I want a big colorful flashy
screen.  It will be on a well protected fly bridge.  

 

I really don't want to use a PC based systems and would rather have a plug
and play unit.  Must have big screen-eyesight not what it use to be.  Is
radar worth adding if you're not going in blue water?  

 

How much should I expect to pay for turn key; installed?

 

Any recommendations?  If you buy from West Marine will they install even if
it's 100 miles plus from their nearest store?

 

I know it's a broad request but any help appreciated.
