A brief overview follows - -
Winship is economical and incredibly sturdy and the ultimate coastal cruiser
and passage maker.
Custom built for an owner whose considerable background in commercial and
recreational boating played a big part in creating Winship as the high
quality, comfortable and functional vessel that she is.
Construction by Sunnfjord Boats, who are highly regarded for the hundreds of
commercial boats they have built for use in the Pacific Northwest. Heavy
fiberglass construction, semi-displacement hull with deep keel and chines
make this a very stable and comfortable boat in all conditions and fully
able to stand up to the most severe North Pacific weather
Winship is fully and thoughtfully outfitted for safe and comfortable
extended cruising. The interior is warm and inviting in cherry and
mahogany, Corian galley, upholstered overhead panels, full carpeting and
halogen lights, many with dimmers. Custom made high quality settees.
Accommodations
are optimized for a cruising couple but with berths for at least four more.

Heating -
A Kabola Series B-12 diesel boiler circulates hot water through the Cummins
engine, a Torrid NV-17 water heater and the cabin areas. When running, the
engine supplies hot water to these systems and the Kabola shuts down. The
Torrid unit is heated by the furnace system, the engine or 110V AC elements.
Cabin temperatures are by thermostats. Heat exchangers and blowers are
located in five compartments plus pilot house defrosters.
