Our loop adventure is nearing its end.  We are offering Xplorer for sale,
initially as a turn-key loop vessel with laptop computer (Panasonic
Toughbook), electronic and paper loop charts along with cruise guides (US,
Canada and Bahamas), dingy (10'2" West Marine by Avon w/2006 9.9 Mercury
4-stroke on a Hurley davit system), satellite TV dish (AZTrax) and DirecTV
DVR receiver, 2 anchors/rodes, spare parts for Cummins 450 main engines and
Westerbeke generator, 4 ball fenders (great for the locks), dishes and
sheets.



Xplorer has been a great loop boat.  She is a 2000 Sea Ray 450 Express
Bridge with just over 1000 hours on the Cummins 450 HP diesels and
transferable extended warranty (we never had to use it but it covers the
engines, generator and major appliances!).  Xplorer has 3 staterooms (we use
one for storage, one for guests and one for us!!), has center walk down to
the bow from the bridge and recessed bow walkway (great safety features for
working through the locks as you don't need to walk along the side of a
boat!).  She purrs along at 7-9 knots (6-9 GPH) or cruises across open water
at 18-20 knots (23-28 GPH).  Of course WOT will lighten your wallet much
faster!!  Our average fuel consumption over 5,000+ loop miles so far has
been 8.9 GPH or 1.17 MPG.  More detailed info is available at our website:

next week or so and then over to the Bahamas and eventually ending the loop
back on the Potomac River which is off the Chesapeake Bay.  Xplorer with all
